ACT! CUT! PLAY! was presented in Amsterdam during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam on Saturday 28th go January. The screening took place at Westerunie venue in the framework of the official schedule of the fashion week. Aynouk Tan moderated the event with a contextual introduction on the fashion film and a Q&A with the makers.
In addition there was an presentation at Vlaams Cultuurhuis De Brakke Grond from 26th until 29th of January.
Next screening is organized by MoMu Antwerp at De Studio in Antwerp on February 9th. -> info.
ACT! CUT! PLAY! is a interdisciplinary project that aims to bring the quality of fashion film to the next level by creating a prominent role for the performing arts (theater/dance maker).
Three teams based of Dutch and Flemish theatermakers, designers and filmmakers where challenged to jointly investigate the possibilities and limits of their disciplines within the genre of ‘fashion film’.
Starting with the stories of theater/dance makers three short fashion films are developed and showcased internationally in both the fashion, theater and art world.

MIJNshop & MIJNcollectie at Amsterdam Fashion Week
Presentation of exhibition “MIJNshop & MIJNcollectie” at Tolhuistuin,
project developed in collaboration Framer Framed for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam
POP-UP SHOP: MIJNshop & MIJNcollectie (6-14 July)
For the year of the mines three southern-Limburg designers Linda Friesen, Ebby Port and Gabriel Guevara present their 21st century version of mineworkers clothing during MBFWA. The collection excist of five unique haute couture pieces and a ready-to-wear line. All pieces are interpretations of former mineworkers clothing and inspired by cultural communities who worked in mines (Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Morocco, Spain and Friesland). Youngsters of 100% Heerlen made ten unique pieces which are presented during the temporary MIJNshop in the IJzaal next to Framer Framed in the Tolhuistuin.

Followed program on fashion, identity and sustainability Fashion lives on the street, in the media and on the many assets of our society. With our choice of clothing we tell stories about who we are. During ‘MIJNshop & MIJNcollectie’ a special programme was organized about fashion, identity and sustainability on the 8th of July.
From 12:00 to 18:00 there was a workshop-afternoon with the youth of 100% Heerlen printing 'textile miners. Following there was a panel discussion with, among others stylist Majid Karrouch, Willa Stoutenbeek (W. Green) and designer / illustrator Ikram El Messaoudi on the relationship between clothing and identity.
The designers of the MIJNshop collectie, Linda Friesen, Ebby Port & Gabriel Guevara, where present and talk about their designs!
Léon Kruijswijk of Framer Framed moderated the discussion.

Liselore Frowijn at Fashion Week Amsterdam
Strong debut by Liselore Frowijn at Mercedez Benz Amsterdam Fashion Week
In Amsterdam Liselore Frowijn presented her third collection which was inspired by a modern translation of the Triadisch Ballet of Oscar Schlemmer. With this collection she composed a perfect mix between sportswear and luxury with outstanding combinations of colors and textiles.

Barabara Langendijk at Fashion Week Amsterdam
Barabara Langendijk graduated from ArtEZ Fashion Masters (ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Arnhem, The Netherlands) in July 2013. In the same year she traveled to Japan where she was deepened traditional crafts, natural materials and recycling techniques.
Her graduation collection focused on traditional Japanese fashion, spawning a collection where textiles with minimal tailoring were wrapped round the body and secured with clasps. In contrast to current fashion, this technique allowed Langendijk to construct one-size garments. In addtion Langendijk lays great emphasis on the sustainable production of textiles and collections.
