Noora Pajari at FASHIONCLASH Festival 2016

Finnish fashion designer Noora Pajari is specialised in womenswear and print design. At the moment she is based in Helsinki, but she plans to move to Amsterdam in the fall.

In 2015 she graduated from BA in fashion design from Lahti Institute of Design. She did her exchange at the Swedish School of Textiles which was a luminous experience for her finding her strengths and personality as a designer.

She will present her new collection 'Printophrenia' on Friday July 1 during FASHIONCLASH Festival. You can buy tickets here.

When did you realise you wanted to be a fashion designer?
I've been into arts and crafts ever since I was a child. During my teenage years I found the interest of clothing as well as sewing and they became an important part of me. During that time I realised that art and clothes are something I want to combine and built my career around them.

How would you define fashion?
It's an enormous aggregate of creativity that contains passion, beauty and brutality.

“You see the overall of what we are” by Brian Geradts

1. Please introduce yourself to our readers. (Who are you, where do you come from and what is your field of specialization?)
Hoi hoi, I’m Brian Geradts. I am... eeeuhm... let’s say I’m in my early twenties. I am 50/50 German/Dutch (my mother is Dutch and my father is German). Currently I’m living in Maastricht and I will hopefully graduate this summer from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht with a degree in fashion design (if I finally manage to hand in my last theoretical assignment I think everything will be ok). I am not sure yet what my field of specialization will be or if I ever want to focus on one field but for now it is menswear... and I love it!

Marly van Lipzig and the transformation of 2D forms into 3D shapes

1. Please introduce yourself to our readers. (Who are you, where do you come from and what is your field of specialization?)
My name is Marly van Lipzig and I graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven (The Netherlands) with a small series of jewellery and a print collection, and by doing so, my passion for prints was born! My interest in prints started growing when I was doing a print for the collection of Hussein Chalayan while I was interning there for 8 months. Another work experience at the print and textile development department of Jonathan Saunders confirmed that this was my field of specialization. During my studies I explored my own ideas on prints and created my 1st collection; The Architecture of Prints, which I will be showing during Fashion Clash 2012
