1. Please introduce yourself to our readers. (Who are you, where do you come from and what is your field of specialization?)
Atelier Kaspar Hamacher Langestahl 5 Eupen Belgium.
Designer, between art and craftsmanship.
By taking nature as my basis, is focused resolutely on physical rather than conceptual design. I feels more as a craftsman than a designer. The things I can do with wood appeal to the imagination: whether it is a tree stumper or a piece of leather, the key is authenticity in every step of my design process.
2. What inspires you as a designer/artist?
Simplicity, Nature, Function.
“The difference between the purely natural and the technologically produced can be clearly felt. There are things that cannot be copied such as the warmth of wood, the smell and touch of leather or the individuality; all that cannot be imitated.”

“Out of one piece” - made out of one piece of cow leather and held by wooden sticks.
4. What is your vision on ‘fashion’?
I wear functional clothing.
5. What do you think will be the challenge in the project?
6. How do you personally define a “fashion clash” or “a clash with fashion” for yourself?
New inspiration shown in a different light.
7. What do you expect from FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2012?
