Fresh Talent from Arnhem: Jef Montes

Please introduce yourself to our readers. (Who are you, where do you come from and what is your field of specialization?)

My name is Jef Montes and I am young rising woman’s-designer in the Netherlands. I graduated in 2012 for my Fashion Design Bachelor at ArtEZ Institute of Arts in Arnhem.

I have a very clear vision on shape, color and detail. My specialization is to experiment with different techniques of material and hand-craftsmanship. My way of working is very intuitive but very structural.

I have a very close relationship with my mannequin. Experimenting with shapes on my mannequin comes very natural to me. I love to explore things that come on-logical to my mind. My development is to keep exploring and expanding my own signature.

What inspires you in general?

Art/history, traveling, music, magazines, antique markets, exhibitions etc

Where are you based?

My Atelier is based in Arnhem/The Netherlands.

Belgium label TITI+GERMAN KID

Kristien Follon is the establisher of the label TITI+GERMAN KID. She will present her wonderful work at the FASHIONCLASH Side Program.
Born in Neerpelt, Belgium, Kristien has her fashion dream since she was five. In 2007, she started her label along with her alter ego and muse 'THE GERMAN KID'. She makes all the pieces herself to make sure that everything is unique.T+TGK is more than affordable, which makes it accessible to a very wide audience.

Textile designer Jolijn Pasmans

Please introduce yourself to our readers. (Who are you, where do you come from and what is your field of specialization?)

Jolijn Pasmans: a materialist, texturist and inspirator.

Being a designer, I create materials and forms to inspire other designers and producers within the field of fashion and interior. Tactility, texture and atmosphere are very important in my designs.

During my study at the Design Academy in Eindhoven I fell in love with textile and textile techniques, which are now part of my main skills. Other materials like plastics and concrete are also within my expertise.

My way of working is very impulsive and experimental. I always have to create a mess in order to design, after this messy stage the analytical stage starts. I think this process comes from my youth, in which everything was allowed. In school I have always tried to stay true to this way of designing, and I still do.

Multi talented Dennis Vanderbroeck

Dennis Vanderbroeck is a 23 years old designer who now lives in Rotterdam and studies in Maastricht. At this moment He is graduating from the theatre academy, performance art. In his work, he is trying to create cross-overs between fashion, fine art and performance using video, photography and live performance. With his "childish" way of approaching it he create hyper-esthetical and humorous images.
