Call for Fashion Films for Fashion Film Night Out during FASHIONCLASH festival 2014

Are you a filmmaker or have you recently made a fashion film? We are happy to present you an opportunity to show your work for an international audience.

FASHIONCLASH Festival launches a Fashion Film Night Out on 12 June 2014. This year we have made some exciting additions to the FASHIONCLASH Festival, including the Fashion Film Night Out, which is a part of the FASHIONCLASH Side Program. Fashion Film Night Out will screen a selection of fashion films from the Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2013 program. The event will take place at the Lumière Cinema Maastricht.
We would like to offer you the possibility to screen your fashion film at the Fashion Film Night Out.

The call for fashion films is now open. In the context of the FASHIONCLASH Exhibition, films around the concept of age are welcomed. Nevertheless, all films regardless of their theme are suitable for submission.

BERLIN fashion FILM FESTIVAL SUBMISSIONS FOR 2014 is OPEN
The Berlin fashion Film Festival has started accepting submissions for its third edition. The event will take place in July 2014 in Berlin, during Berlin Fashion Week, and it will consist of three public screenings on July 8 and 9, the Berlin fashion Film Festival Award Ceremony on July 10, and the Berlin fashion Film Festival Party on July 11.
Fashion designers, filmmakers, photographers, production companies and advertising agencies are invited to submit their fashion films directly on the Berlin fashion Film Festival website. The submissions deadline is April 30, 2014. All films will be reviewed and considered for the official 2014 selection, which will be finalised by May 31, 2014.
The selected films will be judged by an international jury including Not Just a Label’s founder Stefan Siegel, Vimeo’s lead curator Jordan McGarry, fashion designer Charlie le Mindu, Serviceplan’s executive creative director worldwide Maik Kähler, Esmod Munich designer and art director Ingo Brack, and Berlin-based stylist Jan Luckenbill. http://berlinfashionfilmfestival.net/submission/

FASHIONCLASH at Berlin Fashion Week

FASHIONCLASH is recovering from the 2013 edition of FASHIONCLASH Maastricht and at the same time already making plans for 2014. In the meantime we visit events to scout talents and to encourage our dear designers and partners. We went to Berlin to attend the promising Berlin Fashion Film Festival that has celebrated its second edition. Our fashion film ASPIRE that we  have created for the 2013 edition in collaboration with Strictua was in the official festival screening. Beside that it was a great event and a wonderful Award Show evening.
At the same time Berlin Fashion Week was happening and we had attended some shows such as the Satu Maaranen (Hyeres 2013 winner) show and side events like the Premium fair.
One of the FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013 participants Franziska Michael showed her new ss2014 collection and she was also winner of Premium Young Designer Award 2013 for womenswear. We also met Black Balloon and spotted talents like label IVANMAN and Byungmun Seo.
Furthermore Blaenk label gave a very beautiful presentation at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Berlin.
At last we had the Weissensee Academy Berlin graduation fashin show where we spotted loads of talent. Check out some of the highlights.

BERLIN fashion FILM FESTIVAL 2013 Program released

This year’s programme and locations for the Berlin fashion Film Festival have officially been released. The event spans between July 2nd and July 4th 2013, and it includes three public screenings, one award show, and one closing party, featuring names such as Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, H&M and Lana del Rey. An international guestlist formed by renowned professionals and trendsetters of the fashion, film and music industries makes it one of the most important events of Berlin Fashion Week SS14, including names such as Sara Maino, DJ Hell and Boris Entrup. The public screenings are divided between the Opening Screening, the first and most comprehensive screening of the season featuring names such as Cara Delevigne for MCS London and Wes Anderson for Prada on July 2nd between 5pm and 6pm, Young Guns, showcasing the best emerging fashion and film talent of the moment on July 3rd between 3.30pm and 4.30 pm, and Meet the Locals, a specially tailored programme focused on Berlin featuring the likes of Esther Perbandt, Moga e Mago, and Mads Dinesen on July 3rd between 5pm and 6pm. All public screenings take place at Kino Arsenal 1 on Potsdamer Straße 2, 10785 Berlin, and tickets can be purchased online until sold out by visiting the Berlin fashion Film Festival programme page.

The Award Show takes place on July 4th at ARENA GLASHAUS, Eichenstrasse 4, 12435 Berlin. Doors open at 6pm, with the evening including the screening of nominated films, the award show, and an exclusive is accessible via accreditation only and focused on professionals of the fashion, film and music industries. Accreditation can be requested via the Berlin fashion Film Festival programme page until June 30th, 2013.

The Berlin fashion Film Festival Closing Party starts at 8pm on July 4th in ARENA BADESCHIFF, Eichenstrasse 4, 12435 Berlin, with a view of Charlie Le Mindu’s fashion presentation, to then continue in ARENACLUB from 11pm. Call for entries for Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2013

Berlin, May 2013 ­
The outstanding judges, partners and curators of the 2013 edition of the Berlin fashion Film Festival have been confirmed and are now being announced.
The curating team is composed by the monthly cinematic experience Berlin Film Society, the events management company and showroom FIER management, the fashion film agency Furore Film, and the London College of Fashion.
Each curator will select a number of fashion films from their network and from the official Berlin fashion Film Festival open call, now extended until May 15, 2013, as the finalists to be screened and awarded at the Berlin fashion Film Festival Award Ceremony on July 4, 2013 during Berlin Fashion Week 2013.

The finalists will be judged by an international jury according to different categories, formed by: filmmaking duo Alexandliane for Best Cinematography, makeup artist and beauty expert Boris Entrup for Best Makeup and Hair, international star DJ HELL for Best Music, Final Cut editor James Rose for Best Editing,creative director Michael Schachtner for Best Idea/Script, Vogue Italia’s senior editor Sara Maino for Best Fashion, and international Production Designer Steve Summersgill for Best Production Design.

Berlin fashion Film Festival is gearing up for its second edition, which will take place in July during Berlin Fashion Week. Fashion designers, filmmakers and professionals of the fashion industry are invited to submit their fashion films from today onwards directly on the Berlin fashion Film Festival website.
