Charlotte Kan

Charlotte Kan is a Dutch womenswear designer. She started her label Charlotte Kan in 2008, a year after graduating cum laude at the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam. Charlotte Kan is inspired by girls that take fashionable self-portraits. This translates into a highly wearable collection with a minimal cut and clever detailing. The collection is designed and produced in small editions in her studio in Rotterdam.
Starting February 2011 each month a new design is produced and presented in the project Play&Pose. In this project fashion bloggers are asked to photograph themselves in new Charlotte Kan designs. This way the garment is presented by the wearer itself. Pretty cool!

 SS2012 Play&Pose with fashion bloggers Charlotte Kan gave 10 SS2012 garments to 10 fashion bloggers. They were free to style the items and combine them with their own garments. During Amsterdam Fashionweek they were photographed by Carina Hesper for the Play&Pose lookbook.

FAB Store Hasselt opening

Last night,  Fashion Across Borders (FAB) has opened the doors of the unique young designer store in Hasselt.
Young designers from the Meuse-Rhine region are displaying and selling their designs in the shopping gallery 'De Wate Vrienden', located in the heart of the city on the Grote Markt (Grand Market). In the FAB-store you can find unique fashion, jewellery and accessoires by young designers.
FAB STORE is just FABULOUS! The whole team has worked hard to make it happen. Laurens Hamacher of FASHIONCLASH made the store look great.
FAB store Hasselt is open from Wednesday till Saturday from November 4th 2011 utill June 1st 2012.

[C]Kult exhibition in Paris: 5 & 6 November 2011

C-Kult is organizing it's first exhibition event in the weekend of 5 and 6 November. Young designers and labels will be selling their work.

FASHIONCLASH MARKET

The preparations for the 4th edition of FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2012 have started in full speed. In the meantime city of Maastricht is getting ready for the second year of 'Magisch Maastricht' (Magical Maastricht event in the month of December).

The city will be lightend and very cosy. FASHIONCLASH is taking this opportunity to put designers in the spotlight.
3 + 4 December FASHIONCLASH DESIGNER MARKET will take place in cities beautiful Centre Ceramique (the public library).

For this market we are looking for 'young' designers from various disciplines (fashion, design, furniture, jewellery, accessoires, textile etc.)
