11th edition of FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland
This autumn 11th edition of Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland Łódź took place on 22-26 of October. FASHIONCLASH Team had a great pleasure to attend for the fifth time and enjoy the biggest fashion party in Poland, to see the collections of Polish designers. We are pleased to see, how designers and the event are developing with every next edition. FASHIONCLASH has also experience with Polish designers - each year FASHIONCLASH Festival receives strong applications from Polish designers as well as choses the best ones to participate in next FASHIONCLASH edition.
We were pleased to see three of FASHIONCLASH designers at Fashion Week Poland: ODIO & Jakub Pieczarkowski, ZWYRD and Baiba Ladiga (for whom, we will present a separate posts on our blog).

FASHIONCLASH at ModaLisboa - Lisboa Fashion Week
ModaLisboa created its 43rd edition around the theme of 'legacy' during an intense three days programme. From October 10 to 12 both established and emerging designers from Portugal where staged in Pátio da Galé to present their collection for summer 2015.
On Friday evening ModaLisboa opened with of the weekend, Sangue Novo (new blood), a collective show with ten new designers. FASHIONCLASH had the honor to award Inês Duvale with FASHIONCLASH/ModaLisboa award.
In the same Sangue Novo show FASHIONCLASH Festival 2014 participants ANDREA LAZZARI Plùs Que Ma Viè and Catarina Oliveira showed their collections.

FASHIONCLASH at Serbia Fashion Week

FASHIONCLASH was also there to officially sign a cooperation agreement with Serbia Fashion Week, which will include exchange of one designer each year. On that occasion FASHIONCLASH awarded on of the finalists of FTDC Finals during Serbia Fashion Week. Winning designers Zorica Jaranski will show her collection at FASHIONCLASH Festival 2015.

'In Performance - Building a Theatre' project on display during Cape Town Fringe Festival.In the meantime the new children's theatre next to Guga S'Thebe is getting its shape.
'In Performance - Building a Theatre'
Architecture students from Germany, South Africa, and the United States join forces with the local community to build a new venue for performing arts in Langa. The new building provides a place for the community to share their vibrant culture and to celebrate the arts. The young dancers of the Happy Feet Youth Project introduce the Guga S’Thebe Theatre to spectators by exploring dimensionality, sound, and atmospheric presence through the art of dancing in the newly built space for the first time.
In Performance – Building Theatre investigates two methods of building space: one through making with physical materials; and the other through movement and rhythm. Performed by Happy Feet Youth Project (Langa)

(OLD)Fashion(ed) Exhibition Opening & Stroop premiere
(OLD)Fashion(ed) exhibition at Museum aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht opened this evening. The opening featured premiere of the performance 'Stroop', created by Project Sally and designer Sabine Staartjes. For this project they where connected to the craft of syrup, and in particular collaborated with Canisius company.
(OLD)Fashion(ed) is a collaboration with FASHIONCLASH, Nederlandse Dansdagen (Dutch Dance Festival) and Museum aan het Vrijthof.
Four choreographers, four fashion designers were inspired by crafts like metal shaping, papermaking, wheat weaving and syrup making. They created four danced fashion shows or four fashionable dance works, with untrained dancers between the ages of 63 and 80. The project started of with its first presentations during FASHIONCLASH Festival 2014.
At Museum aan het Vrijthof you can also visit the exhibition (OLD)Fashion(ed), which will have its festive opening on 21 September and run until 16 November.

During the Dutch Dance Festival in Maastricht all four performances of (OLD)Fashion(ed) will be performed.
