Dutch Design Week 2012

Marly van Lipzig
Eindhoven is full of energy this week as Dutch Design Week seems to have taken over the city. FASHIONCLASH loves to visit  DDW because each year we find some amazing young talents and we love it even more when we bump into installations and presentations by FASHIONCLASH participants. Many of them are to be found in the Etalageroute DDW (shopping window route)   through the city: Elvira 't Hart, Annemarije van Harten, Nawie Kuiper, Mirte Engelhard, I am Nold (Natalie de Koning), Lidewij Corstiaans, de l’eefstijl, Marije de Haan, Joelle Boers and so on.
You can find them also in the rest of the program, like Josine Heuts at Modebelofte 2012 or at ABKM stand.

Niek Pulles (HEYNIEK) is responsible for the stunning look and feel of Modebelofte 2012 exhibition.

Theatrical Encounters: Annemarije van Harten and Judith de Joode

What happens when we organised a Theatrical Encounter between Annemarije van Harten and Judith de Joode?

'So wie es ist bleibt es nicht'  B. Brecht

Since a long time Judith has the desire to become a 'thing', something that just is. A plant that is standing next to the portrait on the chimney, a coat on the hallstand. Annemarije likes to make people disappear in her designs. She made a chair for Judith to stay in. Or disappear into. Where is Judith?

Best, Annemarije.

Join us at FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2012 Exhibition to see the result of this inspiring encounter...

Lidewij Corstiaans, Annemarije van Harten & Tessa Wagenvoort join forces for Fashionclash Maastricht 2012!

Collage by Lidewij Corstiaans
1. Please introduce yourself to our readers. (Who are you, where do you come from and what is your field of specialization?)
We are Lidewij Corstiaans, Annemarije van Harten and Tessa Wagenvoort, three designers based in The Hague, The Netherlands. Corstiaans is very much the material researcher, where van Harten’s designs are about construction and moulage. Wagenvoort has found her own way to edit textiles, using different techniques.

2. Why did you decide to create a collective project?
We’ve joined forces for this project because we feel that our work affects each other in a positive way.
